Typh: Gurr and some of the guys from End Guys would run Pug MCs every week when I was on Detheroc. Myself, Chase (on his rogue) and Populous (if you remember either of those dudes at all) used to run MC with them pretty often.
The main reason they ran the pug was for the cores/leathers to sell.
If I remember right Dagron in the second SS was one of if not the best geared warrior on the server.
So yea I was a scrub.
Funny story: Cyco, Kandid, Pop, Chaste and myself all moved to Detheroc to join OA and play with Bob. Less than a week later OA and Bob moved to Manno.
i had barely hit 60 like 2-3 weeks before bc hit and thought gurrack was a god because i didnt even know even what raids were about at that time but i saw him organizing his raid in kargath and was like ZOMG WHAT ARE ALL THE COOL KIDS DOIN?!

Haha, I remember that day actually, I think you pst'd me and were like: WTF are all these 60's doing here?!
Meanwhile you and Ender were busy dueling in the Badlands, killing buzzards and rock elementals. Noobz.
Those MC runs were just before I quit EG and soon following OA's break up on Detheroc. Think Guurack was apping at that time. Dagron is the man, married my ex-GF though. Funny how shit turns out.
Hehe, running into those groups were just chance for me, I had no idea either of you had anything to do with OA before or after for quite a while. I don't think I realized you were an OA guy until I moved to Manno and we were both leveling up for TBC.
Haha, thats how my character will always look to me. Server first to get RDP; world last to stop using it. Same with the Azureus cloak and the EF to a lesser extent I guess.
And Typh... I had quit for a while when OA moved servers and didn't really feel the need to push the issue of getting into EG cause I was already raiding with them. So, on weekends I played with a bunch of old friends and geared out friends and alts (and get more legendaries) with help from a couple of the better geared EG guys to speed things up.

This is cute. Funny how things are so different as you go through the different stages of the game.
Should I get a mic again to come visit vent every now and again? Maybe play some diablo 3 later on...!
Hope everyone is well and you guys/gals are kickin ass.
p.s. <3 Cons. Text me sometime buddy. Think Imma be able to go back to Roo this year. Fyi.

Cept Blizzard confirmed no D3 in 2010 so will be a while I was sad panda when I first heard. But def do the vent move up Gurr its been a long time
I wonder if Erash remembers doing my quick guild interview, and being hte one to invite me to OA? I was level 58, and Kahilm had been in OA for about 2 weeks, and suggested I talk to people. I was invited the day of the first MC raid
I had no idea what I was getting myself into, and no idea how much I sucked at this game, but it was Warcraft, and so amazingly awesome, and just flat out FUN to play.
I think we all sort of forget this part of our lives - we all play/started playing WoW because it is fun, not because we have to. Sometimes I like to just start a new alt from a random race and get them to level 10. Its so peaceful and reminds me how fun the game is when you consider it a game and not a job or anything else.
EDIT: I also remember Tokk crafting the very first Arcanite Reaper (on horde side if not server) and then about 1 week later I managed to craft my own. Still have it my bank <Created by Nomahd> (wish it said Dhamon still ) For a long while there we were the only 2 on the server horde side who could craft it.

Does Shadowmourne decimate? Yes. Is Shadowmourne a legendary? Yes. Sad facts of life I'm afraid. In my opinion. avoid the plate wearer glowing purple with souls. But then again you don't find Shadowmourne in PvP, it finds you. - MMO Champion Forums, Shadowmourne PvP QQ Thread.

Erash isn't really on the forums often but I just spoke to him about this not too long ago. I also remember the arcanite reaper crafting (I would actually log on Tokk if he wasn't online to make them for people), as well as running garret to the dark iron anvil (or whatever it was called) in BRD for fire resist gear.
I remember a BRD run to forge before MC one time that was Garet, Syrio, me healing, and a sub 60 rogue whose name escapes me. Remember it being epicly fun. I know alot of people had their issues with Garet, but he was always really good at the game and he made grouping fun, for me at least.
Syrio always seemed like the most quietly respected guy in the guild. Maybe you just didn't talk to me very often, but everyone liked you and you were always really good. I think I was intimidated by the whole Madison crew except Tokk for a long while when I first joined. I was obviously subpar at judging who I should have been scared of.
Real reason I wanted to post... Kaos. I suspect I would have gotten into raiding at some point on my own, but Kaos got me into raiding way before when I would have otherwise. I was a pretty fast 60, but only had a couple friend's playing with me at that time and they were either taking a break (Dunnarth) or not nearly 60 yet (Daole). I would pester Kaos and Strife every day while they were in some insanely cool place called Blackrock Mountain. Long story short, I got into LoD a couple weeks before we took out Lucifron, entirely on Kaos' recommendation (I don't think I ever ran an instance with him prior to guilding tho).
Getting to the main point: I can't tell you how many times I relied messages back and forth between my mom and Kaos begging for more raid time and whatnot. He even talked to her on the phone once or twice I believe. Quite hilarious in retrospect.
Apologies for getting carried away. Been thinking alot about my WoW days lately.
